Meat Coupon

Today is a joyous day for Usman and his family. It's the Day of Sacrifice. Although it's not celebrated like Eid al-Fitr with visits to each other's homes, the festivity in Usman's village is at the mosques. The committee is busy slaughtering the sacrificial animals and cutting the meat into portions to be distributed.

Usman is not a wealthy person who can eat meat anytime. He only enjoys chicken meat if his pet chicken gets sick. His mother would promptly butcher and cook the meat as a side dish. They eat meat when their neighbours invite them to a feast. Therefore, Usman was delighted when Uncle Supri came and distributed coupons to collect sacrificial meat at Jamik Mosque. He placed the coupon on the table.

At two in the afternoon, an announcement came from Jamik Mosque. Residents with coupons were asked to come and collect the sacrificial meat. Bani, Randi, Danar, and Medi ran towards the mosque. Usman, on the other hand, looked relaxed. He didn't want to jostle in the queue to collect the sacrificial meat. He was still engrossed in playing juggling, as he had seen on YouTube on Andre's phone. Meanwhile, Usman's mother was seen cleaning their living room. After Bani and his friends returned, Usman remembered he had to collect the meat. To his shock, the coupon on the table had vanished. His mother said it might have been swept away. Usman panicked, and he hurried to the rubbish bin.
